These are original images - painted directly on silk. I use a silk surface instead of paper, with dyes, which react like watercolors, to achieve these images. I love the way the dyes flow on the silk, more fluid than on a paper surface. A resist is used to first draw the image, which also keeps the colors enclosed. Permanent dyes are used on all my silk work.

Any kind of image can be painted upon silk. Contact me for custom ties, scarves and wraps, as well as fine art silks; to be framed or affixed to a hanging wooden dowel.

(Silks, like any fine art, should not be placed in direct sunlight for long periods, as the fiber will break down over a long period.)

Silks are available framed $300 ($35 shipping), or unframed $200 (comes with a dowel for hanging--$7 shipping). Limited addition prints are available for many of the images. $75 for an 11" x 11" matted print plus $5 shipping.
